Art Societies

Many, many people belong to art societies and local art groups. These groups and societies offer hobby and professional artists an opportunity to share together, network, learn new skills and talk art. Some societies or art groups run weekly or monthly meetings. They are normally committee led and offer a varied programme of talks, demonstrations and practical sessions. They may run competitions and often hold yearly exhibitions.

Their value I believe above all, is to meet with other like minded people and share ideas. To discover more about your local art group look on the Internet, ask at information centres or enquire at your local art shop.

Lets promote our local art societies by creating an on-line directory. Please send me your recommendations via the contact page. Thank You
