Marion will be holding a joint exhibition RESOLUTIONS

January 3rd - 15th 2012

The Exhibition title ‘Resolutions’ invite us to pause at the beginning of the New Year. To consider our priorities, hopes and dreams and what better way than enjoying looking at and even purchasing a beautiful item of modern art.

All those in this accomplished group demonstrate their own process and approach in this exhibition. The beauty and intricate structure of natural forms are explored by Bev Bartlett through her unique handmade jewellery. Landscape is examined through the paintings of Marion Deacon made on location and developed in the studio using textural and colourful mixed media. Sue Roche captures alternative views of landscape and architecture with her photographic practice. Her latest work is on aluminium creating modern and exciting photographs. Henriette van der Does makes instinctively evolving work exploring themes of the human figure, movement and emotion and works in sculpture. These beautiful pieces need to be touched and delighted in.

The gallery was founded in late 2011 by husband and wife team, Marjorie and Joe Schmetzer.

Jamm Art Gallery is focussed on keeping commission and exhibition costs low to give talented emerging and established artists an affordable platform to exhibit and sell their work as well as giving buyers the opportunity to invest early on in a new artist's career.
