Marion loves colour and much of her painting is very vibrant and textural. Painting is one of the aspects of her life that makes her alive. Marion believes every painting is a journey of exploration and a fulfillment of a deep desire to record our beautiful and diverse landscape and natural surroundings.
Marion says the amazing richness of colour, movement and texture in the natural world continually inspire her and provoke her to capture its character. Also, on a very personal note, to give glory to the Creator God.
Her paintings are mixed media in style and incorporate collage, acrylic inks & paint, plus pastels and artist's crayons.
Marion’s work explores the landscape capturing the essence of it as well as what can be observed.
"It is all about 'being' in the landscape."
