How do you organise your studio?

This is an interesting question. I have put some photos on this page to help explain how I organise my studio.

I am very fortunate as I am able to work from home, which fits in with family life really well. Also I have a large room with fabulous big bay windows. I paint with my back to the window so I can make the most of the natural light.

Part of being an artist is keeping in touch with a whole range of people. I find it very helpful to have a desk away from all the paint, water, glue etc where I can keep my PC and paper work. As you can see from the photo I also stick notes and lists to the wall ... its essential to stay organised. Plus inspirational photos and images are lovely to have in your workspace.

Finally some good shelving means you have a tidy place to store paintings and resources.
However small a studio or art room the best thing is if you can shut the door and no body elseneeds to use that space. You can leave all your materials out and go with the flow.
